Japanese Earthquake–March 12 update
An update–all KCP students and staff are accounted for and safe. Most of the train services are restored to normal. Classes at KCP will resume next week when all train systems are scheduled to be fully functional.
While we’re very concerned about the nuclear power plant in Fukushima, it’s not a danger to Tokyo residents since it’s 250 km north. Experts say that in the worst-case scenario of a meltdown in Fukushima, it would affect a 10 km radius. (See MSNBC– http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42025882/ns/world_news-asia-pacific/).
