KCP Student Perspective
We can’t deny that it wasn’t an easy experience for all of us American students currently enrolled at KCP, and certainly for all teachers and students of other nationalities there with us when the earthquake happened. I imagine how our parents and friends were extremely concerned and worried about us. We were part of a historic and complex set of circumstances. But fortunately we survive it and I can personally testify that in any moment, we felt alone.
Regarding the challenged situation presented at that particular moment, KCP staff and teachers offered all possible support and were with us at all times encouraging, comforting and guiding. On going support is also easing our anxiety and giving us a sense of security and back-up.
In my dorm in Wakoshi, for instance, we are four American students and thank God, everyone is well and safe. Like everybody else, we are continuing following the news and praying and waiting for Japan’s speedy recovery. Particularly, I am willing to continue my studies and life here at KCP. We are also very grateful for those who sent best wishes and prayed for us especially our beloved families and friends.
